Something to Contemplate by Marie-Aude To expect our lives to remain the same once we have it organized the way we want it, is practically impossible and would be unrealistic or perhaps a little naive. Yet most of us expect our lives to be under our control and in the way imagined. We get surprised when change comes our way or when life moves/force us into a new direction. Almost three years ago when I got hit by another car from the rear while patiently waiting for the red light to turn green, earlier that day I was noticing how wonderful I felt, how strong and healthy I was physically, I was at a place in my life that felt really good, I loved my life, I loved myself, the future was for sure very promising. For the first time in a long time I was really happy!
The accident changed everything in just a few second. Suddenly, I became completely handicapped mentally, physically, emotionally and in every ways imaginable. My life as I knew it stopped instantly. Almost 3 years later, I am slowly coming back to living life a little more and managing better my daily needs. Change happened for me. I was forced into changing drastically, and I needed to make the best of it, which, I did and continue to do. To expect things to remain as they always have been or the way we have known it, is hoping for karma (cause & effect) to never affect us or to not exist. The pendulum always swings from one side of the spectrum to the other. When things are great, enjoy them fully without being too attached to them and expect for the opposite of the spectrum to show itself. This change is in motion for everyone living beings and can show itself in forms of moods, health, attitude, wealth, happiness, and anything else you can think of. If dark days are here, hang on tight, learn your lessons, bright and sunny days are about to tip the scale. Roll with the punches while accepting these changes instead of resisting. Make the best of them. Adapt very quickly during the transition phase, and soon it will be a new propitious cycle.
